Certified Food Protection Manager Training and Certification
Become a certified food protection manager with our ANAB-accredited training and certification program. If you manage or supervise employees who handle, prepare, store or serve food, the Food Safety Manager Training Course will prepare you for your certification exam. We offer convenient online options for training and certification.
What the Certification Exam Covers
The Food Protection Manager Certification Exam assesses your knowledge of:
- Preventing food contamination, including cross-contamination
- Food worker health and hygiene habits
- Safe use of tools, equipment and utensils in food preparation
- Managerial responsibilities in food safety
- Regulatory compliance and record keeping
- The role of facility design in food safety
Passing this nationally recognized exam is required to become a Certified Food Protection Manager, an industry standard for food safety leadership.
Training Options
In Person Course
- Includes the National Environmental Health Association's Professional Food Manager Training Manuel
- Proctored exam at the end of the course
Online Course
- Complimentary practice test and study guide
- Live virtual sessions for Interactive learning and exam preparation
Both options are designed to equip managers and supervisors with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure safe food handling, preparation, storage, and service in compliance with food safety regulations.
In-Person Class Structure
- Arrive 10 minutes early; class begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
- Includes a 30-minute lunch break (bring your own lunch)
- Course concludes with the proctored exam
Fees and Registration
- $120 (non-refundable) - Training including the exam
- $35 - In-person exam retake (payable to State Food Safety)
- $90 - for the online exam retake (payable to State Food Safety)
