In-Person Food Protection Manager Certification Training

Become a certified food protection manager with our ANAB-accredited training and certification program. If you manage or supervise employees who handle, prepare, store or serve food, the Food Safety Manager Training course will prepare you for your certification exam. We offer convenient online options for training and certification.

The food manager certification exam covers:

  •   How to prevent food contamination, including cross-contamination
  •  Food worker health and hygiene habits
  • Tools, equipment and utensils used in food preparation
  • Your responsibilities as a food manager
  • Regulatory compliance and record keeping
  • The role of facility design in food safety

To become a certified food manager, you must pass the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam. Our online training course includes a free practice test and study guide.

Class Structure

It is recommended to arrive 10 minutes early as class starts promptly at 8:30 am. There is a 30-minute lunch break but you are responsible for bringing your own lunch. The class will conclude with you taking the exam.

  • $120 non-refundable for training including the exam
  • $35 for the in-person exam retake (payable to State Food Safety)
  • $90 for the online exam retake (payable to State Food Safety)
