We’re building a forward-looking framework rooted in community insight, research, and decades of trusted partnerships. Grounded in needs identified by thousands of Arizonans, the plan zeroes in on what matters most: water, education, family well-being, drought resilience, and smart, efficient agriculture. This framework isn’t set in stone—it will grow as Arizona does.
Our agricultural science boosts profit and buffers the state against a warmer, drier climate. Our professional development work prepares youth and adults for a modern, high-tech job market. Our whole-health efforts help families and communities stay nourished, resilient and well. Our tribal connections honor tradition and build trust. For more than a century, our Extension programs have been woven into communities statewide. Now we’re shaping what the next hundred years look like.

Our roots run deep
Cooperative Extension was founded on a simple but powerful idea — that the research and education developed at land-grant universities should extend to the communities they serve. We helped Arizona navigate the Great Depression, two World Wars, and the dawn of the Internet age. We’ve guided growers and communities through times of scarcity and prosperity. Through it all, we’ve walked side by side with the people of Arizona — helping to build a stronger, more resilient future.
