University of Arizona Pima County Cooperative Extension
Mission Statement: Our purpose is to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. Since July 2015, the Program has served more than 1500 adults and 400 children.
Support: The Family Engagement Program offers the majority of programs free of charge. This is thanks to funding by First Things First through subcontracts with United Way, Joseph Stanley Leeds Family Foundation, TUSD, Autism Society of Southern Arizona, and The Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation.
By offering free parenting classes to the public, the Family Engagement Program strives to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. See the class description page for descriptions of the different parenting series offered. Many classes are available in both English and Spanish.
