Pima Family Engagement
University of Arizona Pima County Cooperative Extension
Mission Statement: Our purpose is to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. Since July 2015, the Program has served more than 1200 adults and 400 children.
Support: Funded by First Things First through subcontracts with United Way, the Family Engagement Program is able to offer all programs free of charge. Complimentary child care and food are made possible by a grant from the Joseph Stanley Leeds Family Foundation.
By offering free parenting classes to the public, the Family Engagement Program strives to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. See below for descriptions of the different parenting series offered. All classes are aimed at parents of children ages 0-5 and are available in English or Spanish.
