Family Engagement
University of Arizona Pima County Cooperative Extension
Mission Statement: Our purpose is to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. Since July 2015, the Program has served 6000 caregivers and their children.
Support: The Family Engagement Program offers the majority of programs free of charge. This is thanks to funding by First Things First through subcontracts with United Way; Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry; Prevent Child Abuse Arizona; Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR) funding program; the Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation and Marshall Foundation.
By offering free parenting classes to the public, the Family Engagement Program strives to give parents and caregivers tools to create a rich learning environment for their children. For upcoming classes, click here!
