Smartscape is a comprehensive training program that educates on the fundamentals of designing, installing, irrigating, and maintaining beautiful, water efficient landscapes here in the desert Southwest. Smartscape trained professionals can lead their industry as they learn the most up to date and research based practices. Smartscape training gives landscape professionals skills that will increase your ability to water with efficiency, distinguish yourself from the competition, and provide your customers with higher quality service.
The course includes eight classes on plant selection and installation, soils, water management, irrigation controllers, desert adapted plants, plant disorders, and maintenance. You will learn how to have well designed, desert adapted landscapes that aren’t just beautiful, but can also help you lower your water bill, add value to your home or business, and reduce the time and money you spend on maintenance. Water is a valuable resource, especially here in the desert. Proper plant selection and irrigation can reduce your water consumption while still maintaining landscapes that help to cool the urban environment and benefit our communities.
