Small grain, alfalfa, and silage corn trials at the Maricopa Agricultural Center provide Arizona growers with locally validated answers on variety performance, yield potential, and weed management options - research generated under the same weather, soil, and water conditions they manage every season.

Palmer amaranth and other resistant weeds are costing Arizona cotton and forage growers real money every season. Knowing which herbicides actually work under Central Arizona Conditions, against Arizona weed populations — matters more than any label recommendation. Every season, independent efficacy trials at Maricopa Ag Center evaluate multiple chemistries and tank-mix combinations against local weed populations, and we share results and recommendations directly with growers through tent talks, workshops, and extension articles before the next planting decision.
