Support for those experiencing homelessness

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, there are resources available to help. Here's how to get the support you need:

  1. Contact Your Community’s CoC (Continuum of Care). Your local CoC is a group of organizations dedicated to helping people who are experiencing homelessness. They can connect you with housing programs, shelters, emergency services, and other essential resources.
  2. Call 2-1-1 or visit their website for immediate assistance. In many communities, the 2-1-1 hotline connects you to available local resources for housing, food, and other essential services. The 2-1-1 service can help direct you to shelters, housing programs, and social services.
  3. Connect with local shelters and housing resources. Shelters provide immediate assistance and a safe place to stay. Many shelters also offer additional support such as case management, meal programs, and job resources.
  4. In addition to shelters, many organizations provide food, clothing, healthcare, and mental health support. Be sure to reach out for the full range of services that can help during this difficult time. For more information on homelessness resources and how to get help, visit the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
