The Pima County Extension Master Gardener Program offers free tours of its 14 demonstration gardens which feature native, non-native, and drought tolerant plants, and showcase various planting, irrigation, and composting methods for desert horticulture.
The gardens are also open for the public to explore during daylight hours. We ask that you remain on the pathways, do not take samples, and make sure gates are closed behind you.
We highly recommend The Master Gardener-led 90-minute tours on Wednesday or Saturday mornings at 9 am (February – May, and September – December).
The tours begin at the extension office, 4210 N. Campbell Avenue, where the gardens are located.
Masks are required and pets must be on a leash. Group tours for your club or association are also available by calling (520) 626-5161
Come and learn what you can grow in the desert!
