Martha Escobar-Gil
Martha graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration with an emphasis in Human Services. Most of her professional life has been dedicated to working with non-profit agencies that serve limited-resource community members of diverse ethnic backgrounds. She began volunteering for the Extension Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) while she was a “stay-at-home mom” to her twins, daughter Sasha and son Philip, and was later hired as a Community Nutrition Educator. Martha has been an official EFNEP team member since 2016. She has taught (in-person and virtual) community nutrition classes to various youth and adult groups throughout Pima County in English and Spanish. Her duties grew to include administrative support responsibilities for her wonderful Pima County EFNEP team and is now the team leader and supervisor.
