Gardens provide excellent quality vegetables for freshness and for processing if the crops are supplied with an adequate level of nutrients and water. Fertilizing with manures or other organic fertilizers versus “chemical” fertilizers is discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of various types of fertilization application are covered.
