Curriculum
The Agriculture Literacy for Arizona K-12 Educators and Administrators program addresses the disconnect between youth and agriculture while training teachers to bring agricultural concepts into their class curriculum. Program participants create and adapt existing lesson materials to support other teachers in bringing agriculture into the classroom. Lesson materials on the following topics are available:
- Composting
- Horticultural sciences
- Plants ad seeds: parts, growing conditions and benefits
- School garden design and career paths
- Soil health and water management
- Traditional indigenous agriculture and livestock
- Watershed health and hydroponics
