Speaker: Maricopa County Master Gardener Mary Crenshaw

CLASS INFO:
Olla irrigation is an ancient and sustainable method of watering plants using unglazed clay pots buried in the soil. This method is highly efficient, reduces water waste, and helps prevent overwatering and underwatering. It is a great option for gardeners looking for a low-tech, eco-friendly irrigation solution. We will also discuss rainwater harvesting which is the practice of collecting and storing rainwater for later use. This method conserves water reduces reliance on municipal water supplies, and helps manage stormwater runoff, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly practice.
