4-H Camp G.R.I.T. is a great opportunity for youth ages 9-14 years old from across Arizona to try new things and make great friends! The goal of 4-H Camp G.R.I.T. is simple: to create lasting memories for years to come. This camp will offer unique experiences, offer the chance to meet new friends and, will teach you a wide variety of new concepts! Learn how to lead, explore the wilderness, and enjoy amazing activities you might otherwise not have a chance to do!
Register
Registration opens April 1, 2025 and closes May 26, 2025. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to and from the James 4-H camp.
- $550 before May 12, 2025 and $600 after May 12, 2025. Register using ZSuites
- Family rates are available. Regular rate for the first camper and then $50 off for each additional camper. Please contact Valerie at gabrielsonv@arizona.edu to learn more.
- Scholarships are available. A limited number of $50 Tractor Supply Company Scholarships will be offered to active 4-H members. The application form is in ZSuites, under Registration Documents.
Become a Camp Counselor
Camp Counselor applications are now open! If interested in joining our 2025 Camp Counselor team, please fill out the Application below as well as have TWO references fill out the reference form below. If you are accepted, there will be mandatory 2025 dates for camp counselor trainings. The dates for those are as follows:
- March 22nd, 2025 @ Maricopa County Copperative Extension office
- April 27th, 2025 @ MCCE office
- May 2-4, 2025 @ James 4-H Camp
- May 10th, 2025 @ MCCE office
- June 5, 2025 @ MCCE office
