Beef Quality Assurance Certification

How to become AZBQA certified

With two ways to become AZBQA certified, you can choose the best method for you:

  • Attend an in-person training
    • Trainings typically take 2-4 hours and are led by authorized BQA trainers.
    • There is a charge of $5 for Arizona in-person certification workshops.
  • Take the online course
    • Available on-demand. Start and stop as you please. Estimated time is 2 hours. No cost to the producer.Print certificate upon completion.

Initial certification is good for 3 years. In order to maintain certification, a minimum of 4 hours of continuing education is required every 3 years.  In order to receive continuing education credit, a class must be approved by the AZBQA program. If a class has not received prior approval a list of class topics may be requested to determine if the class meets continuing education requirements.  Producers may also take the online certification to update their certification.
