Exploring Spaces, Going Places explores the world of geospatial science and goes where no 4-H project has ever gone before! Accessed entirely on one CD, the three youth levels and Helper's guide are valuable resources to anyone interested in geospatial technology, geographic education, GIS and GPS. Activities correlate with National Education Standards. Level 1 'Getting Out' introduces you to new ways of thinking about geographic positions, navigational tools and measuring distances. Level 2 "On the Trail" shows you how to collect data and geographical positions to make your own maps. Level 3 "Reaching Your Destination" helps you learn how traffic congestion, pollution and crime can be helped with maps. The "G2 Helper's Guide" gives the helper background and information to introduce learners to the world of geospatial concepts.
