What is SNAP-Ed?
SNAP-Ed stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education and is a federally funded grant through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We do a variety of programming and partnering throughout Yavapai County to help community members who are receiving SNAP benefits, or who are eligible to do so, make the healthy choice the easy choice. Do you build pre-school gardens?
We support gardens of all types throughout Yavapai County. To see if your site is eligible for our services please contact Nicole Lund at email@example.com or 928-445-6590 x243.
How do I find out if I’m eligible for food stamp benefits and how do I apply?
We would be happy to connect you to the Department of Economic Securities (DES) which is the entity that determines eligibility for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). Their phone number is (928) 759-1867 and the office in Prescott Valley is located at 3274 Bob Dr, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
We are having an event and would like a food demonstration. Are you able to do that for us?
