Urban Ag Production, Small-Scale, Beginner Farmer Program
Currently, 50% of Arizona farms have fewer than ten acres of land in their operation, with 88% of the farms earning less than $25,000 in annual sales (USDA, 2017). Many of these farmers are new to agriculture and need assistance with crop production, infrastructure design, business, marketing, and sustainability. Our program empowers urban, small-scale and beginner farmers to build a foundation for success through educational programming and mentorship.
