Maricopa County 4-H Scholarships
Financial support for 4-H members is available in a variety of ways: 4-H Scholarships, 4-H Activity Support Fund, and 4-H Program Fee Stipends. All of these are funded by a variety of sources and are supported based on availability of funds each year.

Each year, 4-H Committees sponsor a scholarship(s) for 4-H members who are graduating high school seniors or first-year college student, up to 19 years of age. 4-H members can apply for as many committee scholarships as they choose as long as they are enrolled in that project area. Applicants must submit an application and letters of recommendation for each committee scholarship. Face to face interviews with the scholarship board will be scheduled for the week of March 25-29, 2024.
Scholarships are currently sponsored in the following areas: General Projects, Horse, Livestock and Small Stock. Scholarship applications can be mailed, dropped off in-person or scanned and emailed to gabrielsonv@arizona.edu.
Kelly J. Bryant Memorial Scholarship Application - due 5pm on Monday, March 11, 2024!
The qualification requirements for Kelly J. Bryant are:
*A Maricopa County 4-H member a minimum of four full years;
*Has been enrolled in the 4-H Horse or 4-H Livestock project(s) and has participated in community service, leadership and/or citizenship and active in participating or presenting communication efforts;
*A current 4-H member who is a senior in high school and has applied and been accepted and plans to attend an accredited university or community college or any type of post-high school education in the fall of the year in which the scholarship is awarded.

How to Apply for a 2023-2024 Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation Scholarship

Description - The Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation awards educational scholarships to 4-H members who have college or university aptitude. Some awards are based on financial need; others are based solely on merit. Current Scholarship Endowments
General Information
• All information is held in strict confidence by Extension personnel, Foundation staff, and Volunteers serving on the Scholarship Selection Committee.
• Scholarship funds are deposited within the institution to be attended by the recipient. The institution will be instructed that half of the scholarship is to be paid for the first-semester. The other half is to be paid for the second semester if a “C” average grade, based on 12 or more credit hours has been maintained.
• Upon notification of award, recipients of educational scholarships must write a thank you letter to the sponsoring person/organization. A copy of this thank you letter and a valid student ID number must be received in the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation office before funds will be deposited with the educational institution.
• Submit a photo of yourself at least 568 x 462 pixels which will be uploaded to the 4-H Youth Foundation website.
• All scholarship recipients will be featured on the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation website and possibly the newsletter.
• Scholarship award must be used during the 2024-2025 school year and cannot be rolled over to the 2025-2026 school year.
Selection Criteria
• A new application must be submitted each year.
• You must have been a 4-H member for a minimum of 2 full years, which may include the current year. Involvement during your senior year is preferred but not required.
• Former 4-H members from any state and previous recipients who are continuing their education at an accredited University or Community College in the Fall of the year in which the scholarship is to be awarded, and who meet the 2 year 4-H member requirement are encouraged to apply.
• You must be a full time student as designated by your educational institution.

Tractor Supply Company (TSC) 4-H Activity Support Fund
Maricopa County 4-H, with support from our local Tractor Supply Company stores, is pleased to offer the 4-H Activity Support Fund to assist youth in attending camps, clinics, and/or leadership events. These funds cannot be used for contest(s)/show entry fees. Activity Support Funds may be awarded in various amounts, depending on the cost of the activity. Please complete the application by the stated deadline to be considered. Mail completed application to the Maricopa County 4-H Office Attn: Caroline Werkhoven at 4341 E. Program Fee Stipend
Maricopa County 4-H offers a limited number of partial program fee stipends to assist those 4-H members financially. Applicants may be awarded a maximum of $10.00 to assist them in paying their 4-H Program Fee. Please complete all information requested on this application.
