Water Irrigation Efficiency Program
Supporting farmers and ranchers to save water, making them more profitable while also working to secure Arizona's water future. The $45 million program, funded by the state and administered by University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, is working with scores of growers across the state conserve more than 11 billion gallons of water each year.
State Support for Growers
The Arizona Legislature and Governor’s Office created the Water Irrigation Efficiency Program in 2022 with support from state Rep.Tim Dunn of Yuma. The Legislature allocated $30 million in 2022, and $15 million more in 2023.
