Invasive Plant Short Course

Overview

The Annual South West Noxious, Invasive Plant Short Course has been running since 1995. It is the 2nd longest running annual training event in the history of the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, serving clientele and stakeholders in AZ, NM, and throughout the southwestern US. The meeting was originally started by Dr. Larry Howery (University of Arizona, Cooperative Extension) and Dr. Richard Lee (USDI-BLM) and was operated exclusively in Farmington, NM for southwestern clientele. In 2023, it was handed over to Dr. Elise Gornish (University of Arizona Cooperative Extension) and Dr. Leslie Beck (New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension) and has been run under this new leadership starting in 2025.
