What is the Arizona Meteorological Network?

Since January 1987, the Arizona Meteorological Network (AZMet) has provided essential, high-quality weather data and information to a variety of stakeholders, including those in agriculture, water resources management, landscaping, environmental quality, and public safety. Stations track air and soil temperature, humidity, precipitation, solar radiation, and wind direction and speed. AZMet additionally provides specialized measurements like dew point temperature, vapor pressure, evapotranspiration, chill hours, heat units, and more. Data representing 15-minute, hourly, and daily values, along with various summaries and tools, are freely available online.
