County Events

  • 4-H Camp G.R.I.T.: Camp G.R.I.T. is held at James 4-H Camp for campers ages 9-14. You’ll have a moment to escape from your reality and get a chance to explore a new adventure. The goal of 4-H Camp G.R.I.T. is simple: to create lasting memories for years to come. This camp will offer unique experiences, give you the chance to meet new friends, and will teach you a wide variety of new skills and concepts! At 4-H Camp G.R.I.T. you will have the chance to learn how to lead, explore the wilderness, and enjoy amazing activities you might otherwise not have a chance to do!
  • Maricopa County Celebration of 4-H Youth Night - All 4-H youth and their families are encouraged to attend. It is a fun night that includes dinner, games and dancing. 4-H members with outstanding accomplishments will be honored during the awards ceremony. Honorees will be given free tickets.
  • Community Service Lock-In
  • Youth Officer Training - This training allows youth to take active leadership roles in their elected position. Through this training, youth officers will be better prepared to successfully navigate their officer position.

State Events

  • Journey: Opportunities for Leaders of Tomorrow: JOLT is an Arizona Teen Leadership Camp, designed by teens for teens. At JOLT our mission is to create an environment where Arizona teens can learn how to empower personal leadership, hone in on creativity, and encourage positive social change in their own community by upholding the tradition of making the best better.
  • Arizona Stock Show and Roundup: The event is for youth participating in large and small livestock projects. Youth will have a chance to grow, learn, practice, and showcase their knowledge through exhibition and knowledge contests.
  • State Communication Day:An opportunity for 4-H youth across the state to showcase their communication skills including public speaking, art, writing, photography, dance, drama, and music.
  • State FCS Day: These fun and educational contests allow 4-H members to gather with other youth, compete, grow in their mastery of Family and Consumer sciences.
  • State 4-H Ambassador:This program provides a select group of 4-H teen leaders with the opportunity to advocate for 4-H youth, represent Arizona 4-H, and develop as generational leaders.
  • Arizona 4-H Youth Summit: An opportunity for youth to get an inside look at the college experience. Youth who attend summit will have a unique look at college life, with opportunities to stay on The University of Arizona Campus

National Events

  •   Western National Roundup -Denver, Colorado for ages 14-19 years old
    • An educational competition with contests from public speaking to livestock and horse judging.
    • Currently, delegates are selected by winning various contests at the state level.
  •     FCS National Championship - San Antonio, Texas for ages 14-19 years old
    • An educational competition with contests in the field of Family and Consumer Science
    • Currently, delegates are selected by winning at the State FCS Day competition
  •     4-H National Congress - Atlanta, Georgia for ages 15-19 years old
    • A five day event that engages high school aged 4-H members in leadership, citizenship, global awareness, and inclusion.
    • Currently, delegates are selected based on their record book score.
  •     4-H National Conference - Washington, D.C for ages 16-19 years old
    • An opportunity for passionate 4-H youth from around the nation to convene near the U.S. Capital and develop their civic engagement. 
    • Currently, youth who have been selected as a State Ambassador are selected to attend.
  •     Citizens Washington Focus - Washington, D.C for ages 14-19 years old
    • You will discuss and think about national and community-based topics and have the opportunity to meet youth from around the nation.
    • At this time there is no qualification requirement.
  •     Ignite by 4-H - Washington, D.C for ages 14-19 years old
    • The four-day summit helps teens find their spark through speakers, workshops, career exploration and connecting with peers.
    • Currently youth are selected for this trip based off their involvement as a STEM or Healthy Living Ambassador
  •     North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) - Louisville, Kentucky for ages 14-19 years old
    • Every year, livestock exhibitors from around the globe come together for this all-breed livestock show.
    • Currently a livestock judging and skill-a-thon team are selected from teams competing at ANLS.
  •     Arizona National Livestock Show (ANLS) - Phoenix, Arizona for ages 8-19 years old
    • A National livestock show held in Phoenix.
    • Any youth may show livestock at this show.
