Are you fascinated by the intricate forms and textures found in nature? Join us for an inspiring workshop where you'll discover the unique beauty of cholla skeletons and learn how to create stunning works of art using these natural treasures. Draw inspiration from the colors, textures, and patterns found in the desert landscape, incorporating elements of the natural world into your cholla skeleton art. No experience is necessary, and we will provide all the supplies needed. While you are creating, the Master Gardeners will discuss the different types of cholla cacti and their importance in our desert.

Pinecone Decorations

Join us for a delightful workshop celebrating the joy of the holiday season and the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. Pinecone ornaments exude a timeless charm and warmth that evoke memories of cozy winter evenings and festive celebrations. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a novice DIY enthusiast, this workshop offers a festive opportunity to create memories and decorations that will be cherished for years to come. Each participant will make two pinecone ornaments and two pinecone flowers. While creating your masterpieces, the Master Gardeners will discuss pine trees and how to care for them in the desert. Please wear clothes you can paint in or bring an apron.

SAGE Presents: Seed Saving Workshop: Science, Magic and More!
Sunday, November 3, 9-11:00 AM
This workshop will convince you of the importance and benefits of gathering and saving seeds! You will learn why you should collect seeds, the best times to gather seeds, and the preferred ways to store seeds. After taking a walk through the demonstration gardens to harvest seeds, you will create a personalized seed shaker to take home, along with the seeds you collected, ready to plant in your own garden.
Please wear a hat and bring a water bottle. The workshop will take place rain or shine.
