I am a soil biogeochemist broadly trained in soil health management for sustainable crop production. As a researcher, I seek answers to the fundamental questions about nutrient cycling in the agroecosystems at multiple scales, using approaches that range from laboratory-based experiments to extensive field trials. My program conducts fundamental and applied research that tests novel, farm-specific soil management tools to improve soil health with an aim to create resilient, sustainable and healthy food and agricultural systems for human welfare. Through statewide extension and outreach program, I train and educate growers and other stakeholders, while receiving feedback and suggestions that strengthen my program. Read More
