Job Opening
The Mohave County Cooperative Extension is seeking a strong Community Outreach Professional I.
The Community Outreach Professional I will assist with developing, planning, overseeing, and accomplishing the goals and objectives of the SNAP-Ed program in Mohave County, including the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe and the Hualapai Tribe. This position will support the development and implementation of programming in the fields of Policy, Systems, and Environment (PSE) and Direct Education in food systems, school health, active living, and early childhood through use of approved curricula and resources.
The incumbent will attend planning meetings and activities to assist with developing a plan of work for the Community Outreach Specialists I and II to provide workshops, community events, meetings, and direct education events to approved sites to meet the PSE and Direct Education goals and objectives of the SNAP-Ed program and to address identified needs within the target communities.
This job requires extensive travel to target communities within Mohave County as well as required meetings and activities that are hosted by the Arizona Health Zone in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and/or Tucson.
