Theresa A. LeGros

Evaluator
Research Scientist

Theresa is a career evaluator and researcher. Her philosophical approach to science is systems-based and rooted in ideas spanning many disciplines--physics, biology, public health: We can’t really define (or “know”) something without understanding how it interacts with all of the other somethings. In evaluation, this translates to: When you want to know if, how, or why people, organizations, and communities change, you need to explore how they interact.

Theresa works across all Arizona counties to evaluate public health programming. Her interests include:

  • The study of complex adaptive systems.
  • The creative use of mixed methods to evaluate systems.
  • Utilization-focused evaluation & design.

Theresa holds an MA in Biological Anthropology and has completed doctoral-level study in Public Health for better insight into the intersection of biological and human socioeconomic systems. She lives off grid with her family in rural Arizona.
