Yuma Fungicide Trials

We conduct field trials every year on six important diseases in Yuma; Fusarium wilt in lettuce, downy mildew in lettuce, powdery mildew in lettuce, sclerotinia drop in lettuce (both species), downy mildew in spinach, and powdery mildew in melons. The results from the field trials are available to the chemical industry, PCAs (Pest Control advisors), and also to the public to help them in decision making for plant disease management. Field days are conducted every year for spinach varietal trial (collaboration with University of Arkansas) and Lettuce Downy mildew.
