When
This match is open to all AZ 4-H members enrolled and active in their registered shooting disciplines as verified and confirmed by ZSuites enrollment and county leadership.
Arizona 4-H Shooting Sports will be selecting our 2025 State Shooting Team members during the upcoming all-ages and senior qualifier match taking place 25-27 OCT 2024 at the Northern Arizona Shooting Range. In addition to the all-ages fun match being conducted, the top four senior division competitors in smallbore rifle, smallbore pistol, muzzleloading, hunting skills, archery and shotgun will represent Arizona at the 4-H National Championships in June 2025, along with our top four air pistol and air rifle competitors who will be determined during the state air match scheduled for 15-16 NOV 2024 in Globe, Arizona.
All 4-H shooting sports project members with experience at the club level or above are encouraged to come out to compete and enjoy a weekend in the pines with likeminded enthusiasts. Free, dry (no water available), primitive camping is available at the range Friday through Sunday. Campers need to bring everything they need as there is no electricity or water available on site. Please check the camping box when registering so we have an approximate idea of what our camper numbers are going to be.
Registration is open on Z-Suite 13 September through 10 October 2024. The cost to register is $40 per competitor, plus $21 if you choose to compete in shotgun. When registering in Z-Suite, competitors will be asked to prioritize the shooting disciplines they would like to compete in. The match offers the opportunity to compete in three disciplines during the weekend. Every effort will be made to accommodate competitors' top three choices, but please be aware there are no guarantees. Note that the cost to register is fixed. All competitors are encouraged to compete in three disciplines, even if their focus has been mainly on one over the past year. You might surprise yourself competing in something outside your norm!
Because of the way we are handling registration, our detailed schedule for the weekend will not be available until one week after registration closes. But, the overall concept is as follows.
