4-H provides youth ages 5-18 with hands-on experiences in science, agriculture, health and civic engagement that empower them to build essential life skills and prepare for whatever their future holds.

Join Yuma County 4-H

Membership is open to all youth at two participation levels. 4-H Cloverbuds, ages 5-7 years old participate in non-competitive contests while 4-H Members, ages 8-18 years old do compete. Learn more about the 4-H experience.

  1. Decide on a project.
  2. Explore 4-H clubs in your area.
  3. Contact the club you are interested in and let them know you would like to join. You will need to pay your program fee to the club leader and fill out any paperwork they may have for their club.
  4. After contacting the Extension office, create a profile and enroll as a 4-H member through ZSuite. Learn more about Zsuite by visiting the help document center.

Benefits of 4-H

In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us.

Programs reach every corner of the state. Kids and teens complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment. They receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
