Looking for a great way to obtain continuing education hours? Itching to learn more about O&M of residential onsite wastewater treatment systems? The UA Onsite Wastewater Education Program is now offering an O&M Service Provider class. Using the Consortium of Institutes for Decentralized Wastewater Treatment (CIDWT) manual and checklists and using both in-person and online instruction, this course will cover conventional systems including trenches, beds, mounds, and at-grades and advanced treatment technologies including aerobic treatment units (ATU’s), single-pass and re-circulating media filters, and drip dispersal. The in-person segment will be held April 4 and 5 at the Maricopa County Northern Regional Office, and the online instruction will be held 8:30-12:30 p.m. PST on April 10 and 11. The cost is $400 for the class and includes a copy of the CIDWT O&M manual, Residential Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems: An Operation and Maintenance Service Provider Program.
