GLOBE-MIAMI FARMERS MARKET
The Globe-Miami Farmers Market is seeking a new Market Manager. This part time position carries full time responsibilities and is much more than just showing up on Saturday morning. The GMFM currently pays the manager 5-10% of the sales from the market each week.
The Market Manager must be an energetic, positive people person, able to deal with all personality types in many situations. The Manager must have good organizational and planning skills, be computer literate and able to work in Office, Excel and Publisher, to make updates to Market forms and documents. In addition they should have good record keeping and reporting skills and be able to write articles and press releases for social media, email, newspapers and radio.
The Market Manager should be able to write and administer grants. The Market Manager is in charge of collecting money from Vendors and should be reliable and trustworthy.
The Market Manager must be able to speak in public to further the goals and aims of the Market, such as in front of the Globe City Council, the GMFM Board, Vendors, the USDA and WIC departments.
The Market Manager should own a vehicle that can pull the Market’s trailer. The Market Manager should be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to set up and tear down the Market each week. (Involves loading and unloading the hauling wagons, pop up tents, tables, chairs, banners, ect.)
