The University of Arizona Gila County Cooperative Extension is seeking a currently enrolled UA student to be the Assistant Farmers’ Market Manager for the summer of 2014. The Assistant Manager of Globe-Miami’s first Farmers’ Market will fulfill a crucial support role to help local farmers and vendors provide fresh produce and hand-made products in a fun, safe, community atmosphere. Job duties include promotional, organizational, and market day activities, program evaluation and market board participation.

The market will be held every Saturday from 8am-11am, starting June 7th.
Through the UA Cooperative Extension Sustainability Initiative, this program provides students with a unique opportunity to develop and use their ‘in-demand’ knowledge and skills about local sustainability, and engage with local stakeholders to meet community needs. Students must have at least Sophomore standing at the University of Arizona in order to apply.
