Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop - Mayer

Demonstration & Hands-on

9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Feb. 21, 2026

The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension is conducting a free fruit tree pruning demonstration, followed by the opportunity for attendees to prune apple, pear, peach, fig, mulberry, cherry, pecan, apricot and jujube trees.  Fertilization, irrigation and fruit thinning will also be discussed. It will be conducted by Extension Agents Matt Halldorson and Michael Pierce, Emeritus Agent Jeff Schalau and Steve Miller, Urban Farming and Orchards.

This is a free hands-on workshop.  Bring loppers, pruners, saws and gloves if you have them.

Box lunch will be provided if requested.  Please include that request with your reservation.
