Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships

Each year, we provide thousands of dollars in college scholarships to 4-H members and alumni. Our goal is to ease some of the strain around the cost of post-secondary education, making opportunity and career aspirations more accessible across Arizona. Congratulations to our 2023 awardees.

Our Scholarship Committee evaluates applicants on financial need, grades, references and their accomplishments as a 4-H member. Some scholarships are weighted more towards financial need while others are based on achievement. Scholarship applications open November 27th through April 1st.

Grants

We manage over 80 endowments that provide sustained support for specific 4-H programs and activities. 4-H Extension Agents, 4-H Program Coordinators and County Extension Directors are encouraged to apply for funds. Explore open grants and what they fund.

Applications for monies are only accepted from October through December, with funds disbursed in January. The Arizona Youth Foundation works in support of the Arizona 4-H Youth Development Program and allocates funds in July and December of each year for specific state and local 4-H projects, activities and events. It is the Foundation's policy to not pay indirect costs when allocating fund for any purpose or grant.

Support for Fundraising

Arizona 4-H, county 4-H programs and individual clubs can partner with the Foundation for fundraising opportunities. The Foundation also serves as the umbrella organization for Arizona 4-H clubs, 4-H councils and 4-H groups who have obtained their own EIN number, properly charted with the State 4-H office, are in good standing and are conducting business of 4-H under the Foundation.
