Recruitment for AmeriCorps UA Wildcat Corps members is open!

Across the state, Cooperative Extension County and FRTEP offices are recruiting AmeriCorps Members to make a community impact in focus areas that range from environmental support services to positive youth development.

Terms of service are part-time and range from a 300-hour slot to a 900-hour slot commitment. Benefits are based on the slot size and include a living allowance ($10,800 to $3,600) and an educational award upon successful completion of the term ($3,247 to $1,374). UA Wildcat Corps improves lives and communities by serving as a statewide network that provides lifelong educational programs for all Arizonans. AmeriCorps Members focus on the AmeriCorps priority area of education by providing experiential learning opportunities for youth. Community needs are addressed with service that strengthens the capacity of individuals to increase educational attainment and fosters positive development.

AmeriCorps Schools of National Service - University of Arizona Scholarship Opportunities

UArizona AmeriCorps Schools of National Service Undergraduate Scholarship Application 
Undergraduate Students

The University of Arizona will provide up to ten undergraduate AmeriCorps alumni, who are newly admitted to the university, with up to $1,000 in match to their Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. Preference is given to those who have served with the AmeriCorps UA Wildcat Corps program.

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona will provide up to ten $1,000 undergraduate scholarships for AmeriCorps alumni who are newly admitted to CALS at the University or newly transferring to CALS. Preference will be given to those who have served with the AmeriCorps UA Wildcat Corps program.

How to Apply
Applications will be available in January 2023 for the 2023-2024 academic school year.

To apply for either of the two scholarships available go to the UA Scholarship Universe and log-in with your NETID and password. Then, search for AmeriCorps in the upper right search box. You should then see these results listed:

  • UArizona AmeriCorps Schools of National Service Undergraduate Scholarship – CALS

CALS Students
Our 2023-2024 scholarship application opens on January 1, 2023. Be sure to use the How to Apply for CALS Scholarships 2023-2024 document as you prepare to apply. We custom-create this guide for you every year to make the application process as smooth as possible for you, and to maximize your scholarship eligibility. 

Graduate Students
The University of Arizona Graduate College will provide up to a $5,000 fellowship match to the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for up to 3 students newly admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Arizona.
