The beef project is an excellent way to learn about an important industry in Arizona and the nation. Depending on your age and experience, you should sign up in one of the three levels of this project. In this project, you will learn about beef cattle breeds, how to identify parts of the beef cattle animal, different types of feeds, how to raise and care for an animal, how to properly show a calf, understand cattle behavior, evaluate different beef animals, how to recognize a healthy calf, and much more. You must complete a minimum of seven activities and three learning experiences each year to complete this project.
