Drift Resulting from Ground-based Sprays
Bark beetles are commonly recognized as important tree mortality agents in western coniferous forests. Tactics for managing bark beetle infestations
are generally limited to spraying high value individual trees. Spraying insecticides can result in the deposition of chemicals off of the target and on to places that were not intended. This report discusses the extent to which one can expect insecticides to drift from the intended target.
