Program Questions
Q: What will I be doing at this event?
A: AZ 4-H Summit is an experience for Arizona 4-H teens to build problem-solving skills, practice putting innovative ideas into action, and an opportunity to explore future careers. Over this five-day, in-person event, your team of young leaders will conduct a community assessment to identify and determine a local issue. Following that, you will help to create a plan of action for your community solution. With a focus on problem-solving and skill-building; Summit is a creative space for young leaders to ignite and grow their unique spark. There is no shortage of fun and recreational activities planned as well, so be sure to bring your energy for five days of making new friends, exploring the University of Arizona Campus, and so much more!
Q: How old do I need to be to participate in this event?
A: Participants must be between the ages of 14 –19 to participate in this year's Summit.
Q: What should I bring to Summit?
A: All participants who register for Summit will receive a follow-up email that will detail what each participant should expect to bring with them before the first day of the program.
Q: Will there be transportation provided to participants?
A: No, transportation to and from Summit will not be provided. All participants are responsible for coordinating their mode of transportation to and from Summit.
COVID-19 Related Questions
Q: What sort of health and safety guidelines will be in place at this event?
A: We take safety seriously! Summit will be in-person and will follow recommended guidelines by local and national health officials regarding social distancing and masking. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided to all participants. As local health recommendations change, we will update our COVID-19 precautions to keep participants safe. Additional information regarding Summit health and safety guidelines and expectations will be provided to registered participants.
Q: Will I have to wear a mask during Summit?
A: All participants must comply with current University of Arizona policies regarding health and safety. For the latest information, please review the University of Arizona COVID-19 response plan.
