TUCSON - The Garden Kitchen on 4th Avenue, in South Tucson, brings the community together every Thursday at 7 a.m.
"It is therapeutic, almost like zen,” garden volunteer Delani Cota said.
Cota said volunteers find onions in the dirt or pick fruit off the trees.
There is an educational side to the garden.
"It is an opportunity for the community to learn about gardening, hopefully be inspired to have a garden at home,” said staff member at the Garden Kitchen Jenn Parlin.
If you would like to volunteer, Parlin said to just show up on Thursday's at 7 a.m.
Tools will be provided and no sign up needed.
