As the Associate Director of Family, Consumer & Health Sciences Programs, she oversees these program areas across the state, and helps to ensure the integration of programming between on and off campus sites.
As an FCHS Area Agent is focused primarily on adult education in non-formal settings. As such, the Agent assesses the needs of families in Santa Cruz and Pima Counties and other areas of the state, plans, implements and evaluates educational programs based on problem-solving research. Other components of this position include assisting in developing community resources and disseminating applicable research and information to the local population in the areas of family, consumer and health sciences. Each program is unique, in that they may be coordinated and implemented through the collaboration with many agencies, with fellow Extension agents, through volunteers or solely by the Agent. Currently, several "soft money" programs are managed by the Agent.
