Area(s) of Focus: 

Debbie is responsible for building the Family Engagement Program - which is funded by First Things First through subcontracts with United Way. This Program offers free parenting classes for families with children aged 0-5 throughout Pima County. Classes include:

1 - Brain Waves - teaching parents how children's brains develop and learn
2 - PIPE (Partners in Parenting Education) class - coaching parents and caregivers on their interactions with their children; and
3 - Triple P - an evidenced based curriculum helping parents solve everyday parenting problems with solutions based in positive guidance.

In addition, Debbie assists with the strategic planning and evaluation of the Family Support Center Program in Santa Cruz County where she previously worked for nearly five years. Debbie has a Masters Degree in Public Health with a Concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona.
