Tomato Survey Results
Yavapai County Master Gardeners have reported their success (or not) in growing different tomato varieties.
Master Gardeners, please submit your Yavapai County tomato growing experiences, please send the following information to the Camp Verde or Prescott Extension office, or e-mail it to Debbie Allen.
- Your name
- Your town or area (e.g. Camp Verde, Sedona, Williamson Valley, Dewey, Prescott, etc.)
- Varieties planted (exclude plants ruined by hail, rabbits or events that were not their fault, but include those varieties that had problems with disease or insects)
- Rating for each variety, from 1 (Failure) to 5 (Exceptional)
- Your reasons for the rating
1 = Failure; will not plant again.
2 = Underperformed; probably will not plant again.
3 = About average in production and taste; might plant again if it did better in the past.
4 = Very good flavor and/or production; definitely worth growing.
5 = Exceptional; highly recommended.
