Project Overview
4-H STEM YOUniversity is pleased to announce being a recipient of a grant from International Space Station National Laboratory (ISSNL) in partnership with Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) in collaboration with University of Florida, University of Illinois and Purdue University . The title of the grant is "4-H Multi-State Space Exploration Consortium (4-H MSSEC). Twelve students will be selected to become Space Ambassadors and be a part of the 1st 4-H in Space: Mission Command Team Project. Mission Command Team Space Ambassadors will: be trained in space, Lunar and planetary sciences curriculum activities; hold workshops in their counties to teach youth in their communities the curriculum activities; collaborate with FL, IL, IN Mission Command Teams; collaborate with the Arizona NASA Space Grant Consortium (AZSGC) and the University of Arizona Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) club; and lastly have the opportunity to represent AZ 4-H at the Higher Orbits "Go for Launch" 3-day summer camp.
