This is one of six working sessions in developing Need-to-Know statements for six (6) sectors of the onsite wastewater industry in Arizona: Pumpers, Soil & Site Evaluators, Designers, Installers, O&M Service Providers, and Inspectors. Need-to-Know statements describe what knowledge and skills a practitioner needs to have to do their job and/or do their job well. This is the second step (behind having a plan) of a unified training and education program. The skills and knowledge are independent of regulations (current or proposed). All practitioners are encouraged to be engaged in the process and participate in the working sessions. The ultimate goal of these working sessions is to build a foundation for future rule-making.
The other working sessions are October 10, and November 14, and December 12. All working sessions are scheduled the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 12:30-2:30. The schedule for reviewing Need-to-Know statements is:
May 9: Pumpers
June 13: Soil & Site Evaluators
August 8: Designers
September 12: Installers
October 10: O&M Service Providers
November 14: Inspector
December 12: Wrap up any unfinished Need-to-Know groups
