Pinal Master Gardener Short Course
What is the Garden & Landscape Short Course?
The Short Course is a practical, hands-on, in-depth view of the principles required to grow healthy outdoor plants in the desert southwest. We will discuss useful garden and landscape plants and define procedures for identifying, diagnosing, and treating their common everyday problems.
What will I get from the Short Course?
In addition to the down-to-earth educational experience, each participant will receive a reference notebook filled with up-to-date information necessary to grow plants in the desert. You will be put on the Extension mailing list in order to receive new bulletins as they appear, plus notification of upcoming Garden and Landscape Workshops that deal with topics other than those covered during the Short Course. The bargain “tuition” and the convenience of the class being brought to different areas of Pinal County are great benefits.
What will WE get from the Short Course?
Community service from you, the participant. After the course is completed, we want to extend and expand the experience into your community by encouraging others to become active as well. Practical gardening and landscaping projects can be designed for your area; interested groups need speakers; there are always questions from the public to be answered; and for these and other contributions, we are anticipating your involvement; for each hour of class, one hour of community service.
