Adam Yarnes is the Director of the James 4-H Outdoor Learning Center for the University of Arizona located outside Prescott, Arizona. Adam has had a love for the natural world & science for as long as he can remember. He accredits this to playing outside as a child on his families land in Western New York. Prior to Directing the James 4-H Outdoor Learning Center, Adam was the Campus Executive Director for Sierra Nevada Journey, an educational non-profit in Northern NV/CA. Throughout his tenure Adam has become adept at nonprofit management, as well as designing and delivering engaging experiential education programing for both youth and adults alike. Adam graduated from Prescott College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies while emphasizing in Environmental Education. Adam’s passion for educating about the natural world has taken him to Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Wyoming and back to Arizona. His areas of expertise include program development, risk management and strategic planning. Adam’s true passion is playing in the creeks with a group of kids.
