Join ​Master ​Gardener ​Carol ​Stuttard ​to ​learn ​how ​to ​grow ​the ​best ​tomatoes ​right ​here ​in ​the ​low ​desert. ​ ​This ​class ​will ​cover ​the ​cultivation ​of ​tomatoes, ​including ​which ​varieties ​grow ​best ​here, ​how ​to ​sow ​seed, ​how ​to ​plant ​transplants ​and ​how ​to ​protect ​against ​weather. ​ ​
You ​CAN ​be ​a ​successful ​tomato ​gardener ​in ​Phoenix, ​it ​just ​takes ​some ​knowledge!

The ​learning ​objectives ​of ​this ​class ​include:
1. ​To ​learn ​how ​to ​select ​varieties ​of ​tomatoes ​that ​will ​grow ​successfully ​in ​the ​low ​desert;
2. ​To ​learn ​the ​correct ​way ​to ​protect ​tomatoes ​from ​both ​cold ​and ​warm ​weather;
3. ​To ​learn ​proper ​cultivation ​techniques ​for ​tomatoes ​in ​the ​low ​desert;
4. ​To ​learn ​how ​to ​identify ​common ​tomato ​problems ​encountered ​here ​in ​the ​low ​desert
