Speaker's Biography: Kathy Mills, PE, is the owner of Mills Engineering in Phoenix, AZ. She grew up in Tucson where the groundwater supply was limited. She also was a swimmer in high school and college, and enjoys the water. Choosing environmental engineering for a career merged her interests in water, the environment, how things word, and interest in science and math. She has been designing water and wastewater systems in Arizona for over 32 years and is active as a member of the Arizona Onsite Water Recycling Association.
Each year, EPA holds Septic Smart Week with outreach activities to encourage homeowners and communities to care for and maintain their septic systems. Septic Smart Week seeks to inform homeowners on proper septic system care and maintenance, assist local agencies in promoting homeowner education and awareness, and educate local decision makers about infrastructure options to improve and sustain their communities. This webinar is hosted by the Arizona Onsite Water Reclamation Association (AzOWRA) and the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension. Please join us at noon September 19-23, 2022, Monday through Friday, for a 30-minute presentation featuring AzOWRA Septic Professionals, followed by a Q&A session. The Arizona Onsite Water Reclamation Association's mission is to provide value to our membership, rural and suburban property owners, those engaged in the onsite trades, and Arizona residents in general, through education, training, promotion of quality services and advocacy regarding onsite wastewater treatment, reuse and management.
