Have you ever wanted to make a living by farming or ranching? Join us for this 4 class series to learn how to
get started and be more self sufficient with your own food supply while making a profit.
Curriculum will include:
- Planning your farm: costs, checklists and recordkeeping
- Best income crops and produce in Arizona desert
- Where can I find grants and loans from USDA and others
- How to buy a good farm with water; facts on wells
- Conservation methods to use on your farm
- Organic pest control methods; weed control
- Carbon sequestration and building a healthy soil profile
- How to build a produce garden in the Arizona desert
