Cochise First Smiles
University of Arizona Cochise County Cooperative Extension was awarded a competitive research grant through Oral Health America, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities. This grant will work exclusively with Head Start children aged <49 months. The national research study is intended to test the efficacy of an oral health model that includes: oral health screenings, twice annual fluoride varnish and the use of Cavity Free Kids parent-engagement curriculum. We are encouraged by the support of Oral Health America and believe the results of the study will further bolster the oral health model that University of Arizona Cooperative Extension believes in.
