Yavapai County Cooperative Extension has many resources available to local residents on important local water topics. Arizona Project WET provides water education for local teachers and youth through teacher workshops and outreach programs. We support local stakeholder groups and deliver classes on topics of interest. Our Master Watershed Stewards program connects people to their local watershed while providing participants with volunteer opportunities.
The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Yavapai County is selling two types of water testing kits. They are: a Simple Five Parameter (pH, total alkalinity, total hardness, nitrite and nitrate) Test Strip Kit for $9.00 and a Quick Arsenic Kit for $32.00 (both prices include shipping and handling). Both kits are self administered and require about 30 minutes of your time. The results are not "certified" but are reliable and will alert you the need for further testing.
